This involved the purchase and refurbishment of the old St Canice’s Hall building in the centre of Main Street, primarily for future use as a Cultúrlann for Irish language andcultural promotional activities. This new facility is the natural home for the local families of the rapidly expanding Irish medium Primary and Secondary schools in the town but already has been proven to be hugely popular for the wider community. Activities include Irish language classes and conversation sessions, dancing classes, mother and toddler groups, tradional music classes, youth activities, yoga, general entertainment and events for the wider community.
