Cumann Cultúrtha Mhic Reachtain has developed significantly as an organisation since the opening of its new headquarters, Áras Mhic Reachtain. They have had more than 15,000 people through the doors since their official opening. The opening of the new building allowed them to run their Irish classes for adults, intensive courses, youth club for teenagers, concerts and other Irish language events under the one roof. Not only that but for the first time ever they were able to have The McCracken Summer School completely in their own building. Last year the Summer School proved to be a roaring success with over 6500 people taking part in classes, concerts and cultural events over the week. They are continuously developing outstanding programmes of events, including various high-profile concerts. They are excited about the future of the organisation and about the great future they see for Áras Mhic Reachtain. Most importantly they are now able to meet the needs of the growing Irish language community in North Belfast.
